Gauteng Classics 2013
SAPDO had their first of four annual national ranked open tournaments that was held between Friday, 22nd of February to Sunday, 24th of February' 2013. The SAPDO Gauteng management did a stirling job by putting this kind of tournament together. Players travelled from all over the country to take part in this competition which was held at the Johannesburg Correctional Services in Meredale, Johannesburg.
The members who worked tirelessly on this project really deserve a big pat on the back for a job well done. In this tournament over 40+ players took part in it and at the end only one player stepped up as the winner.

Brent Robertson closed a spectacular 170 gameshot in the qualifiers for the last sixteen to make it through.
SAPDO would like to take this opportunity to formely thank every member of the management and staff of Gauteng under the watchfull eye of Mr. Bertie Deysel for the awesome job that was done on the Gauteng Classics and the manner in which the tournament was displayed. Thank you to all other SAPDO members that was involved and that participated in the tournament.
