Nolan Arendse recent winner of the PDC SA Masters is delighted and over the moon with himself and the way he played these past couple of seasons. He made a remarkable recovery after being involved in a motor vehicle collison wher he broke and fractured some ribs, had spinal injuries and suffered a heart a attack in a spate of three months.

Arendse vowed that with his return to darts early in 2014 that he will win the SA Masters and he will do it for his kids. He got off on a slow start in the floor games on Saturday, September 27th, but managed to get past his rivals in his block without dropping a point. Arendse went on to win his block and advanced to the last 16 wher he displayed some brilliant darts with 4 maximums in that match.

Nolan "The Nigel" Arendse as he is known by his friends and crittics went on to defeat Brent Robbinson also a very good contender for the SA Masters 7-1 in the quater finals. In the Semi finals he beat Shawn Hogan a previous World Cup representative by 8 legs to 3 (8-3) before defeating "The Spartan" and denying him another crack at the World Championships.

Arendse then had a cracker of a match against Devon Petersen when Petersen took the first leg of the decider and Arendse came back strongly to take the lead by 4 legs to 1. Petersen fought back well to come and make it 5-4, but in the 10th leg missing on a double gave Arendse the opportunity to take 106 for the 10th leg. Devon was left waiting on doubles in the next three legs while Arendse sealed the competition and went on to become only the 5th South African to have won this SA Masters and have a crack at the over 2 million rand winners price at the 2015 William Hill World Championships later this year.
